Our latest foal arrived on the 5th Jan 2010, a lovely filly foal, Deep bay with a frosty rump. Her sire is P&R Dustis Snowprint, and her dam is Princes Misty Twist, the amazing thing is that this filly has created quite a stir, as she is so pretty. Not named yet, as she will nead a very special name, to suit her lovely looks.

Our first baby was born on the 5th Jan, 2010. She is a dark bay with a little frosty blanket so is really beautiful.
Great News, the first thing is that the Swedish folks that had left their Mobile Phone and Ipods behind on the ground, contacted us, and we managed to get them down to Wellington the the Poste Restante centre for them to pick up, and everything worked once they tried them, so the few days in the Hot Water cupboard had dried them out. Next big thing is that the first foal for the season from P&R Dustis Snowprint has arrived, born down at Te kuiti, and its a lovely Bay Lepoard Colt, dam was Princes Mustang Sally, so Tracey and Alan are very proud, now they are waiting for Spanish Starlit to have her foal. Our mare Princes Misty Twist is starting to form an udder, but she is not due until 12th December, so we will just have to wait.

On the 4th November we had a Swedish couple stay here in our farmstay, and they were going on to Rotorua, after they left we found on the ground where their car was parked a Nokia Phone, and two Talking Library book machines, if you were the ones staying please get back to me by my email, as I would like to return your property.

Well my two pregnant mares are showing that they are carrying foals, and because both of them are looking fat, with Princes Misty Twist almost getting a big fat crest, we have been putting 35 head of cattle through their paddocks once a week, just to shorten up the grass. So we are looking forward to the future with foals on the ground, and healthy. These two mares are both in foal to P&R Dustis Snowprint, a first for them as both had been P&R Colidas Hopeful Lads mares, so we are looking forward to seeing just what colour and pattern these foals are born with. The farmstay has been very busy with a full house during the All Blacks, South Africa match, that was a lot of fun, with really nice guests staying here. More guests due in October, so life goes on.

Well the winter has hit pretty hard, but we have plenty of hay, so thats good. The horses are all looking great, we have leased P&R Colidas Miss Kitty, so that she can be ridden, and will be out at a few shows this coming season. the two infoal mares are looking great, so we are looking forward to seeing the foals on the ground later on in the season. We still have the rising 3 year old P&R Kashini Moonbeam, so hope that she finds a home soon, as she is a good size to break in and get going under saddle. Our cattle are all looking like winter cattle do, but will get nice coats once the weather warms up a bit and the grass take off. Next thing will be a few lambs on the ground, so hope that they hit the ground running, so that I dont have to rear any of them.
